Embed the widget and verify a conversation

Configure a consultant profile and embed its widget on your website.

Before you start

You need a saved profile, an HTTPS domain and permission to edit the website.

Click path

  1. Select the profile in Конфигурация → Встраивание (/config?tab=embed).
  2. Enter the website’s HTTPS origin and click Подключить домен. Wait for acceptance.
  3. Choose the widget theme.
  4. Click Копировать and embed the snippet from the live console. The localhost address in the educational screenshot is not your site’s endpoint.
  5. Open the published page and ask a harmless test question.
  6. Find the conversation in Переписки and verify its origin. In sales, check Лиды and the delivery channel. For support, verify the existing-form handoff: preparing a draft does not submit a ticket.

Verify and recover

Verify widget rendering, durable conversation and lead/delivery state separately. Check exact origin, HTTPS, profile and website script policy if the widget does not appear. Inspect channel configuration for delivery failure.

Conversations are retained for visitors who have not signed in. With REST API access enabled, use GET /api/v1/conversations with your workspace’s chat:read key. Anonymous or deleted visitors have no visitor_id field and an empty visitor_email; their conversations remain listed. Reading them does not require registering the visitor.
